The River Colne Sculpture Trail project worked in partnership with Huddersfield New College to develop a children's interactive feature for the sculpture trail website.

Students studying for their National Diploma in Media, Art and Games Design created an interactive learning activity for Key Stage 2 primary school children (ages 8-11).

The aim of the project was to create a fun activity to inspire and encourage children who would not otherwise be particularly interested in 'sculpture'.

Our Thanks
The Trail couldn’t have come to life without the help and support of many organisations including:

Andel Ltd, Arts Council England, Awards for All, Big Lottery Fund, British Waterways, Community Spirit in Slaithwaite, Cuckoo’s Nest in Marsden, Environmental Alliance, Green Building Company, Green Building Store, Huddersfield Art Gallery, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Huddersfield New College, Kirklees Council, the National Trust, Ramsdens Solicitors, River Colne Project, Somerfield Supermarket and local schools and residents’ groups.

The River Colne Sculpture Trail working group and many individuals made invaluable contributions to the development of the trail. Our thanks go to them all for their help and support. In particular we would like to remember Jo Barnes who worked with tremendous enthusiasm on behalf of the River Colne Sculpture Trail project, sadly Jo died in February 2009.
