THE SCULPTURES - Marsden and Beyond

lewis morganAbove Marsden is the last sculpture to be commissioned by the River Colne Sculpture Trail, the Moorland Signpost by Lewis Morgan.

Lewis worked with people from Marsden Healthy Walking Group, the National Trust and the Huddersfield Home Educators Group to gain inspiration and local flavour for his sculpture. Their ideas have been carved into the discs of different stone which make up this sculpture on the moors above Marsden near local landmark, Eastergate Bridge. It was installed in summer 2008.
